Blase A. Provitola

Blase Provitola is a doctoral candidate in French at Columbia University with a concentration in Comparative Literature. Their research lies at the intersection of feminist, queer, and post-colonial studies and includes the representation of gender in the Algerian Revolution and the importation and adaptation of American queer theory in France. Their dissertation focuses on the construction of identity and community in the literature of sexual minorities from the 1970s to the present.
