Our Work

Innovative Joint Education Programs

Alliance is a pioneer global education program that encourages the creation of innovative programs: dual degrees, co-teaching, and non-conventional summer schools.

More than 200 students benefit every year from a range of 15 international dual degrees and joint programs (BA, MA, MS, PhD) in all disciplines, including Art History, International and Public Affairs, Journalism, Sustainable Development, Political Science, Law, and Engineering. Dual degrees and joint programs are offered to undergraduate and graduate (Master's degrees and Doctoral degrees) students from all over the world.

A Faculty Network of Excellence

The Alliance Program facilitates the creation of academic links, synergies and know-how transfers for the strong cosmopolitan network of leading professors and research centers from the four institutions.

Every year a dozen of visiting professors teach abroad through the Alliance Visiting Professorship Program and around 40 short-term academic missions are organized. Simultaneously, the Alliance Program supports joint international research teams that are thriving in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.

A Platform for Global Debate

The Alliance Program connects scholars and research centers at the four institutions: around 40 joint academic events (lectures, conferences, workshops, photo exhibitions, etc) are organized every year in New York and Paris on the pressing issues of our times, with the co-sponsorship of 60 centers and institutes.

Unique innovative joint-venture

Supported by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the French Ministry for Higher Education, the Regional Council of Île de France, and the four institutions, the Alliance Program was endowed in 2007.

In 2013, the endowment fund had already accrued more than $3,000,000. Corporate sponsors of Alliance programs and activities include EDF, BNP Paribas North America, Calyon, Ernst & Young LLP, Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP New York, Axa University, Coletica, Inc., France Telecom, Ixis Capital Markets, and UBS Municipal Securities.
