We are delighted to see two Alliance Program alumni, Julia Cagé and Mirna Safi, recognized in Sciences Po’s Research: A Year in Review 2025, highlighting the institution’s outstanding research achievements and international impact.
Both scholars were previously supported by the Alliance Program’s Joint Research Projects initiative, fostering academic collaboration between Columbia University and Sciences Po.
Julia Cagé, Professor of Economics at Sciences Po, participated in the Alliance-supported Joint Research project “Educating for Democracy: A Randomized Evaluation of Media Literacy & Civic Education Among Youth.”
Mirna Safi, Professor at Sciences Po’s Centre for Research on Social Inequalities (CRIS), contributed to an Alliance-supported joint course between Sciences Po and Columbia University, “Race, Discrimination, and Racial Inequalities on Both Sides of the Atlantic.”
In 2025, both researchers were awarded prestigious European Research Council (ERC) grants—a Consolidator Grant for Cagé and an Advanced Grant for Safi.
Congratulations to both scholars on these remarkable achievements! We are proud to have supported their transatlantic academic collaborations and look forward to following their continued research.
