The Alliance Call for Doctoral Mobility Co-Direction is open to students enrolled in a Ph.D. program at Columbia University, the Ecole Polytechnique, Sciences Po, and Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne University. All students must prove their eligibility by providing a copy of their student ID from one of the four institutions.
Applications will be accepted in all disciplines. Please note some schools and institutes require a separate application and associated fees to be Visiting Scholars, such as but not limited to, the Columbia Law School (CLS) or at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS). Grant awards of up to $8,000 will be disbursed on a reimbursement basis upon submission of an expense report by the grantee. Reimbursement is limited to the actual amount of approved eligible expenses reflected in the expense report and may not exceed the total grant award. If approved expenses are less than the grant award, reimbursement will be limited to the approved amount.
In order to qualify, applicants must identify a co-director who will contribute susbtanively to their PhD thesis, and explain how their expertise is intrumental to the research; projects for joint publications are encouraged.
