Isobel Plowright

Isobel Plowright is a doctoral candidate in United States History at Columbia University. Their dissertation project is a political and intellectual history of the International Workingmen’s Association in the United States. Their research interests include immigration history, the political economy of Reconstruction, the history of communism and economic theory, and the American labor movement. They are currently the Public History Program Coordinator at the Lehman Center for American History, and they were a co-convener of the International History Workshop at Columbia from 2018 to 2022.
