Internship description:
The Mediterranean regions of France and Spain are suffering under an on going Megadrought. This project will focus on understanding how natural Mediterranan forests and human-managed agro-ecosystems are responding to these climate change challenges such as intense drought and heat waves. It will use in-situ data from two ongoing monitoring projects located in a natural forest in Prades, Spain and a vineyward in Banyuls-sur-Mer, France. Data includes continuous measurements of plant growth and micrometeorology at both sites.
Skills required:
Ideally basic skills plant biology, environment and climate science, and computer programming (e.g. R/Python).

Internship will based at the Tree Ring Laboratory, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. Columbia University runs a shuttle bus between the Morningside and Manhattanville campuses and the Lamont-Doherty Campus.
