Thanks to the Alliance Doctoral Mobility Grant, I had the wonderful opportunity to be a visiting Ph.D. student at Columbia University (School of International and Public Affairs) in the winter of 2022. This experience has been extremely valuable from an academic and personal perspective.

Being part of the Alliance program allowed me to discover and understand a different way of doing research and presenting research projects. I had the opportunity to attend seminars, meet faculty members, to become familiar with their work. Moreover, this time in New York offered me a studious parenthesis in the privileged working environment of Columbia University, during which I could work on my projects in management studies.

Of course, this mobility has also been a unique opportunity to visit New York City, its museums, theatres, and galleries, and to get to know its tremendous lifestyle! I especially enjoyed the cultural activities organized by Columbia Maison Française. During my stay, I also made new friends among other Alliance Program Ph.D. students and the active and vibrant Columbia Visiting Scholars’ network.

To sum up, it has been a thrilling personal and intellectual journey!
