The Alliance Program’s Doctoral Mobility Grant will allow me to conduct research on luxury hotels in New York City as part of my doctoral research on the work of luxury employees. My aim is to contrast how luxury services are produced for high-end customers in France and in the United-States. Moreover, this program will give me the opportunity to meet with the faculty members of the department of sociology at Columbia University to discuss my work and improve my understanding of the discipline in the US.
