Louise Guillouet

A rising third-year Ph.D. student in economics at Columbia University, Louise is interested in industrial organization and its application to environmental and developmental issues. Currently, she is working on a theoretical project about the Precautionary Principle and on an empirical project based on surveys of local workers in foreign firms to study the spillovers of foreign direct investment in Myanmar. Louise is also developing a project about organic agriculture in the US.

Before coming to Columbia, Louise obtained a master’s degree in economics from the Paris School of Economics and a joint bachelor degree in Science and Social Science from Sciences Po and Université Pierre et Marie Curie.
